LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities in Los Angeles County are searching for two men accused of stealing a cash register from a Bellflower taco shop in broad daylight, marking yet another blow to a business that has already faced multiple thefts since opening last year.
The incident unfolded Tuesday afternoon at Tacos La Rueda, where surveillance footage captured one of the suspects walking into the restaurant and grabbing the register while a second individual held the door open to facilitate a swift escape.
Street People found out that the pair fled the scene in a silver Mercedes-Benz, taking off with approximately $1,000 in cash. Families were dining inside the shop at the time, but no injuries were reported.
Law enforcement has not disclosed detailed descriptions of the suspects, and no arrests had been made as of Thursday. Authorities are reviewing security footage and continuing efforts to identify the individuals involved.
SP gathered that this marks the third time the small eatery has been targeted since it opened in 2023. The previous two incidents reportedly took place shortly after the restaurant’s launch, though information on those cases remains limited.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
