LOS ANGELES, CA – Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver accused of striking two teenage boys on motorized dirt bikes in Long Beach, leaving one critically injured and another hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The crash happened around 6:21 p.m. on July 25 at Market Street and Elm Avenue, according to Long Beach police.
Authorities said the two teens were riding motorized dirt bikes across the intersection when they were struck by a driver in a Ford Fusion sedan.
The driver fled the scene without stopping to check on the boys or provide aid, police said.
Both teenagers were transported to a hospital. A 16-year-old boy suffered critical injuries, while a 17-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries.
Information reviewed by Street People indicates investigators are looking for a gray, four-door Ford Fusion sedan believed to have been involved in the crash.
Authorities have not released additional details about the driver or said whether the vehicle may have visible damage from the collision.
No arrests have been announced.
