A high-speed hit-and-run on Sherman Way in Van Nuys has left two individuals critically injured, leading to a manhunt for the driver of a Rolls-Royce involved in the crash. While the Mercedes driver has been arrested, authorities urge the public to aid in locating the missing driver.

Hit-and-Run Collision Leaves Two Critically Injured

A hit-and-run collision in Van Nuys has resulted in two people suffering critical injuries, while one of the drivers involved remains at large. The incident unfolded just before 10 p.m. along Sherman Way, where witnesses reported two luxury vehicles—a Rolls-Royce and a Mercedes—racing westward at high speeds.

The chaotic scene began when the Mercedes collided with a Honda attempting to make a left turn into a parking lot. In an effort to avoid further collision with the Honda, the Rolls-Royce swerved into oncoming traffic, ultimately crashing into a Chevrolet before coming to a halt at the curbside.

Manhunt for Rolls-Royce Driver as Investigation Continues

In the aftermath, the driver of the Rolls-Royce abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, igniting a widespread search by law enforcement. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed two occupants of the Honda, identified only as residents of Panorama City, to a local hospital where they remain in critical condition. The driver of the Mercedes sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. There, authorities arrested him on suspicion of reckless driving—a charge that underscores the gravity of the night’s reckless actions.

As investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) intensify their search for the elusive Rolls-Royce driver, they are calling on the community to assist in bringing this individual to justice. Anyone with information is urged to contact the LAPD at 818-644-8114.

This incident highlights the perils of high-speed driving and the devastating impact it can have on innocent lives. Authorities continue their efforts to ensure justice is served and to prevent such incidents from recurring. As the investigation unfolds, the community watches closely, united in their hope for swift resolution and recovery for the victims involved.
