Santa Ana, CA — A search is underway in Santa Ana as police seek to apprehend a suspect involved in the alleged sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl at Madison Park. The incident occurred on a seemingly ordinary day at the park, located on S. Standard Avenue, when the suspect reportedly approached the young girl as she played on a swing set.

The suspect, identified as 58-year-old Benedicto Partida Quinonez, allegedly touched the girl inappropriately before fleeing the scene. Witnesses described Quinonez as having black hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 5’7″ tall and weighing around 170 lbs.

This incident has understandably left the local community shaken, with parents expressing heightened concerns over their children’s safety in public spaces. “It’s terrifying to think something like this could happen in broad daylight,” said one concerned parent who frequents the park with her children.

In their efforts to locate Quinonez, Santa Ana authorities have issued an urgent appeal to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts. Detective Corporal D. Gray, who is leading the investigation, has urged citizens to come forward with any tips or sightings, stressing the importance of community involvement in ensuring public safety.

“We are doing everything we can to find him quickly,” stated Detective Gray. “The community’s cooperation is crucial, and we urge anyone with information to contact us immediately.”

Anyone who may have seen Quinonez or has information pertinent to the investigation is asked to contact Detective Corporal D. Gray at (714) 245-8381 or via email at [email protected].

As the search intensifies, local law enforcement continues to patrol the area, assuring residents of their commitment to maintaining safety and security in Santa Ana parks. Meanwhile, community leaders are advocating increased vigilance and awareness among parents and guardians to help protect the city’s youngest residents.
