LOS ANGELES, CA – A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead late Monday night in the Florence-Firestone area of South Los Angeles, authorities said.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded shortly before midnight on July 28 to the 9600 block of Kalmia Street for a death investigation.
When deputies arrived, they found an adult male dead at the scene.
Authorities said no suspects were located nearby.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of relatives. Investigators have also not disclosed the man’s cause of death or any details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Information reviewed by Street People indicates the case is being handled by the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau as detectives work to determine what led to the man’s death.
No arrests have been announced.
