LOS ANGELES, CA – A 54-year-old man from Florida has been arrested in connection with multiple child molestation cases that date back to the 1990s and 2000s in Orange County.
Identified as George Philip Foord, the man has been arrested in connection with a series of child molestation cases that span several decades in Southern California. The investigation began when a victim from the 1990s contacted the Huntington Beach Police Department in October 2024, prompting detectives to take a closer look at historical cases.
As authorities delved deeper into the investigation, they uncovered three additional victims, all aged between 12 and 16 years old at the time of the alleged crimes. Foord, who lived in Huntington Beach during the time of the offenses, was identified as a suspect. The 54-year-old now resides in Ridge Manor, Florida, located approximately 60 miles west of Orlando.
Following the identification of Foord as a suspect, the Huntington Beach Police Department submitted the case to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant. In November, detectives worked in collaboration with the Special Victims Unit of the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office to apprehend Foord near his home.
He is currently facing seven counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and is awaiting extradition to Orange County. The police have indicated that there may be additional victims, and to facilitate further inquiries, they released both Foord’s 2001 California driver’s license photo and his recent booking photo from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
The Huntington Beach Police Department is urging anyone with information related to the investigation to reach out. Detective M. Eskes can be contacted directly at 714-536-5967. For those wishing to provide an anonymous tip, O.C. Crime Stoppers can be reached at 1-855-847-6227.
Police officials have expressed gratitude to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism and commitment to pursuing justice in this troubling case, highlighting the importance of community collaboration in addressing child abuse and ensuring that victims have a voice.
