Police in Pomona arrested two individuals on October 16 after discovering approximately $12,000 worth of stolen goods inside their vehicle. The suspects, identified as Natassia De La Vega, 38, of Montclair, and Bryan Valdez, 30, of Pomona, were taken into custody following a brief pursuit.
Theft Report and Vehicle Search
The incident began on October 6, when authorities received reports of theft from a parked vehicle. Responding officers learned that the suspects had fled in a getaway car, prompting a search. Police eventually located the suspects’ older-model Lexus sedan and conducted a traffic stop.
Discovery of Stolen Merchandise
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed thousands of dollars in retail merchandise, including shoes, hoodies, and T-shirts, stuffed inside. Photos provided by the Pomona Police Department showed the recovered items crammed into the car, suggesting the duo’s involvement in multiple thefts.

Both De La Vega and Valdez were arrested and booked at the Pomona jail. The case highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat organized retail theft in the region. Police continue to investigate whether the suspects are connected to other incidents in the area.
Authorities urge residents to report suspicious activity and help curb theft-related crimes in the community.
