LOS ANGELES, CA – At least two people were hospitalized Friday after becoming trapped in the wreckage of a four-vehicle crash involving a big rig in Irwindale, where firefighters carried out an extrication operation after the collision left multiple vehicles heavily damaged and one vehicle on fire.

The collision brought a significant emergency response to the area as firefighters dealt with damaged vehicles, a fire and people who could not immediately get out of the wreckage.
