LOS ANGELES, CA — A suspected burglar was arrested Thursday following a fire at a three-story apartment complex in Panorama City, authorities reported.
The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the 9000 block of Tobias Avenue, prompting the response of 44 firefighters who brought the blaze under control within 30 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Police said the individual taken into custody is suspected of burglary and may have had a prior connection to the apartment’s resident.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities are working to determine any possible link between the fire and the alleged burglary.
