LOS ANGELES, CA – A suspect is in custody after allegedly stealing a Porsche in Hollywood and leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in a multi-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities said the incident began when the suspect carjacked a Porsche in the Hollywood area. The carjacking victim was unharmed, police confirmed.
The suspect then led officers on a pursuit through several neighborhoods, driving recklessly and at high speeds. The chase came to a dramatic end when the suspect lost control of the vehicle and collided with another car near an intersection in South Los Angeles.
Images from the scene showed the stolen Porsche smashed through a chain-link fence, coming to rest in the front yard of a home. The other vehicle involved in the crash sustained heavy front-end damage and was left near the intersection.
The driver of the second car was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
The suspect, who was apprehended at the scene, faces multiple charges, including carjacking and evading police.
