LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities and family members are searching for two teenagers from Southern California who have been missing for nearly a month.
Mileena Agustin, 13, and her friend, Jose Sanchez, 14, were reported missing on October 27, according to the Pomona Police Department. Officials believe the two may be together, though their cases were reported separately.
In an update issued Monday, police said the teens may have been seen in the Pomona, Huntington Beach, and Fountain Valley areas. However, their exact whereabouts remain unknown, and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance have not been disclosed.
Agustin’s family describes her as an Asian female standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 197 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes, and noticeable hyperpigmentation around her neck and chest. She was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark basketball shorts with red and white stripes, and may be carrying a camouflage tie-dye Victoria’s Secret tote bag.
Sanchez is described as a Hispanic male, also 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He wears glasses and was last seen in a black hooded jacket, black pants, and black shoes. Authorities believe he may have a duffel bag with him.
The families of both teens are increasingly concerned for their safety, having had no contact with them since their disappearance.
Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings or relevant information. Detective Ramirez can be contacted at [email protected], and Detective Watkins can be reached at [email protected]. The Pomona Police Department is also accepting tips via phone at 909-620-2161.
The investigation continues as the community rallies to assist in bringing the teens home safely.
