A Redondo Beach man, Michael DiGiorgio, 50, is facing severe criminal charges, including murder and multiple sexual assault counts, stemming from incidents that occurred at his homes in Los Angeles County between 2019 and 2021. Authorities allege that DiGiorgio drugged and sexually assaulted at least nine women, with one of the victims dying as a result of the alleged drugging.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the charges on Thursday, detailing DiGiorgio’s alleged crimes. He faces a variety of felony charges, including:

- Rape by use of a drug (three counts)
- Sodomy by use of a drug (two counts)
- Sexual penetration by use of a drug (five counts)
- Oral copulation by use of a drug
- Forcible rape
- Forcible sexual penetration (two counts)
- Rape of an unconscious person
- Furnishing a controlled substance
The charges are linked to incidents at his properties in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. Prosecutors allege that during the administration of drugs, DiGiorgio inflicted significant bodily harm on at least one victim.
