LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities are searching for the driver of a dark-colored sedan involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a 76-year-old woman with severe injuries in Woodland Hills on Sunday evening, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The collision occurred around 6:40 p.m. near the intersection of Fallbrook Avenue and Victory Boulevard, police said. A southbound vehicle, believed to be a 2010 to 2013 Honda Civic, struck the pedestrian and then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital where she is undergoing treatment for serious injuries. Officials have not provided further updates on her condition.
Investigators are working to identify the driver and locate the vehicle involved. As of Monday, no suspect description has been released.
Authorities said a reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to the driver’s conviction or a civil settlement.
