LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities are searching for at least two suspects who fled on foot after a 30-minute police pursuit ended in South Los Angeles over the weekend, following an attempted traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be stolen, according to information Street People found out through case tracking and follow-up with law enforcement contacts.
The pursuit began on Sunday, March 10, when LAPD officers attempted to stop a vehicle, prompting the driver to speed away and lead officers—joined by California Highway Patrol units—on a chase that spanned several neighborhoods, including downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood. SP gathered that the vehicle in question was flagged as potentially stolen, though official details about the car’s make, model, or origin of theft have not been disclosed.
Video reviewed by SP showed the suspects maneuvering recklessly through surface streets before coming to a stop in South Los Angeles. At least three individuals exited the vehicle and ran in separate directions. One of them was quickly taken into custody, but the other two remain at large as of Monday evening.
LAPD officers launched a perimeter search of the surrounding area in hopes of locating the fleeing suspects. Despite efforts, no additional arrests have been made, and no official suspect descriptions have been made public.
SP learned that investigators have yet to confirm whether the suspects were connected to any other criminal activity or why the vehicle was initially targeted for the stop. The LAPD has not released further comment on whether weapons or contraband were found in the vehicle.
Anyone with information about the case or the individuals involved is urged to contact the Los Angeles Police Department or submit tips anonymously through local crime reporting channels.
