LOS ANGELES, CA – A person was killed in a shooting early Friday morning in Rosemead, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed.
Deputies were dispatched to the 7700 block of Garvey Avenue at approximately 2:48 a.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet identified the victim as of Friday morning, and no details regarding their age or gender have been released.
Images from the scene showed investigators examining the area outside what appeared to be a residential neighborhood. Crime scene tape cordoned off the area as detectives searched for evidence and gathered information.
