LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities in Los Angeles County are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 21-year-old woman who has been reported missing for the second time, just one day after she was found safe following a previous search effort.
Sarah Powell was last seen shortly before 1 a.m. on Friday near Fellowship Street and Griffith Avenue in the City of Industry, according to a special bulletin released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Officials emphasized concerns about Powell’s well-being, noting that she has the mental capacity of a 12-year-old and requires daily medication.
Powell’s most recent disappearance comes after she had previously gone missing on December 25, 2024, near the 15700 block of Fellowship Street in the city of Valinda. She was located eight days later on January 2, 2025.
Authorities have not disclosed details about how or where Powell was found following her initial disappearance, nor have they provided information on the circumstances surrounding her latest disappearance.
Powell is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 170 pounds. She has black, straight hair and blue eyes.
At the time of her disappearance, Powell was wearing a brown beanie, a blue hoodie, a black dress with yoga pants, and brown heels, authorities said.
Officials also clarified that her first name had initially been spelled as Sara but was later corrected to Sarah in updated bulletins.
