LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities in Los Angeles County are asking for the public’s help in locating a 1-year-old boy and his mother who have been missing for nearly a week, as investigators continue their search with few public updates.
Street People found out that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued a missing persons alert following the disappearance of James Astuto, a toddler last seen with his 35-year-old mother, Stephanie Ramos, on Saturday, March 8. The two were reportedly last seen in the 2000 block of Dela Street, located in an unincorporated section of the county.
SP gathered that James is approximately three feet tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. Ramos is described as five feet two inches tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. Officials have not disclosed what the mother or child were wearing at the time they vanished, and there is no available information about a possible vehicle or travel direction.
Law enforcement has not indicated whether foul play is suspected, nor have they confirmed whether the case is being treated as a voluntary disappearance or one involving suspicious circumstances. As of Thursday evening, no major leads have been disclosed, and both individuals remain missing.
