LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities in Los Angeles County are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 1-year-old boy and his mother, who were last seen nearly a week ago. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department issued a missing persons alert as the search intensifies.
The child, identified as James Astuto, and his mother, 35-year-old Stephanie Ramos, were last seen on Saturday, March 8, in the 2000 block of Dela Street. The location is within an unincorporated area of the county. Officials have not provided further details on the nature of their disappearance or if foul play is suspected.
James is described as approximately three feet tall, with blue eyes and brown hair. His mother, Stephanie, is five feet two inches tall with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities did not release any information regarding the clothing either individual was wearing at the time they were last seen.
Law enforcement has not commented on whether there are any leads in the case or if the disappearance is considered voluntary or under suspicious circumstances. No vehicle information was released, and it is unclear if the two may be traveling.
