LOS ANGELES, CA – A Colton-based training coach has been arrested on allegations of stalking and inappropriate contact with a teenage girl, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed on Friday.
John Anthony Ayala, 39, was taken into custody after deputies received reports of inappropriate behavior toward a 13-year-old girl. Authorities said Ayala had allegedly sent the victim a series of inappropriate text messages and engaged in stalking behaviors, including showing up at locations where he knew the girl would be.
Ayala, who previously worked as a self-employed training coach and had associations with fitness centers such as Inland Peak Performance and F1 Training in San Bernardino, is accused of using his position to interact with minors. The Sheriff’s Department revealed that Ayala’s actions prompted an investigation that led deputies to execute a search warrant at his residence in Colton.
During the search, authorities confiscated multiple electronic devices believed to contain evidence relevant to the case. Ayala was subsequently booked into the Central Detention Center on charges of stalking and annoying or molesting a minor.
In light of the arrest, law enforcement released Ayala’s photograph and urged any potential victims or individuals with information about the suspect to come forward. Investigators expressed concern that there may be additional victims who have not yet reported incidents involving Ayala.

The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
