Early Saturday morning, Burbank police officers shot a suspect driving a stolen Ford Econoline van in the Magnolia Park neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. when officers, alerted to the stolen vehicle, tracked it near Buena Vista Street and Vanowen Avenue.
High-Risk Traffic Stop Leads to Officer-Involved Shooting
Upon confirming the vehicle was stolen, officers initiated a high-risk traffic stop. During the stop, an officer discharged their weapon, striking the van’s driver, who was the vehicle’s only occupant.
