BEVERLY HILLS, CA – A high-end jewellery store located within the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills Hotel fell victim to a brazen smash-and-grab robbery as six individuals stormed the premises, shattered display windows, and escaped with stolen merchandise, authorities confirmed on Friday.
The robbery occurred amid heightened concerns over criminal activity in areas impacted by the ongoing wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles. As thousands remain under evacuation orders, law enforcement agencies have pledged to maintain a visible presence in affected areas to deter opportunistic looting and theft.
