LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities in Los Angeles County are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl described as “at risk” after she went missing early Thursday morning.
Jewel Kim was last seen around 1 a.m. near the 6300 block of Zindell Avenue, according to a special bulletin issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The bulletin noted that Kim’s family is deeply concerned for her well-being, as she suffers from a mental disorder.
Investigators believe Kim may have been heading to Koreatown in Los Angeles, although no further details about her disappearance were provided.
Kim is described as an Asian female juvenile, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. She has light brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.
At the time she went missing, Kim was wearing a black hooded sweater, blue-green horizontally striped pajama shorts, pink fluffy slippers, and two silver necklaces—one with a heart pendant—as well as a ring.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department urged anyone with information regarding Kim’s whereabouts to contact authorities immediately at 323-264-4151.
