LOS ANGELES, CA – A man wanted for attempted murder was arrested early Tuesday morning in downtown Los Angeles following a police pursuit that began in the Wilshire District, authorities said.
The pursuit started at approximately 4:34 a.m. and ended near Casey’s Irish Pub on Grand Avenue, where officers detained the suspect at 4:48 a.m., according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Rosario Cervantes.
The chase temporarily disrupted traffic, blocking several intersections in downtown Los Angeles. Most streets reopened shortly after the arrest.
Authorities believe there was at least one additional passenger in the vehicle, in addition to the driver.
Details about the alleged attempted murder incident that prompted the pursuit have not been disclosed, and the investigation remains ongoing.
