LOS ANGELES, CA – A police pursuit ended in South Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon after four suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot, authorities said.
The chase began shortly after 1 p.m. in North Hollywood when officers attempted to stop a white BMW believed to be connected to a burglary case. The driver refused to pull over, leading officers on a high-speed pursuit through city streets and freeways.
During the chase, the driver maneuvered through traffic, narrowly avoiding collisions as the vehicle sped through intersections. The pursuit continued into South Los Angeles, where the suspects ultimately bailed out near 89th Street and Flower Avenue.
All four occupants of the vehicle ran in different directions, prompting officers to set up a perimeter in an effort to locate them. Aerial footage showed police searching the area, though visuals of the suspects were eventually lost.
Authorities have not confirmed whether any of the suspects have been taken into custody. No injuries or collisions were immediately reported during the pursuit.
The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the identities of those involved and their connection to the reported burglary.
