LOS ANGELES, CA – A shooting late Saturday night outside a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in La Mirada left one man dead and another in critical condition, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 13900 block of Valley View Avenue, near Rosecrans Avenue. Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department discovered the two victims in the parking lot, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
The men, whose identities have not yet been released, were transported to a nearby hospital. One was pronounced dead, while the other remains in critical but stable condition, according to officials.
Authorities have not provided details on what led to the shooting or whether the two victims knew each other. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made as of Sunday.
