LOS ANGELES, CA – Authorities have released additional details regarding the deaths of a man and woman found inside a home in Altadena last week, confirming that both victims died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victims as 62-year-old Wendell Harmon and 58-year-old Beverly Harmon. Their relationship has not been publicly clarified.
Officials said the victims were discovered on Dec. 20 when Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a welfare check at a residence located in the 700 block of West Sacramento Street.
Initial reports did not specify the cause of death, but authorities later classified the case as a homicide investigation following the Medical Examiner’s findings.
In addition to gunshot wounds, the autopsy report cited “other significant conditions” that may have contributed to the deaths. However, officials have not provided further details about those findings.
Investigators have not made any arrests in connection with the case, and no suspect descriptions have been released, a Sheriff’s Department spokesperson confirmed Friday.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deaths and are urging anyone with information to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
